This mouth blown glass carafe is reminiscent of historical absinthe carafes. These smaller size carafes were most commonly used to hold absinthe, but could also be used as an absinthe water carafe. Etched "Absinthe" across the side of the carafe.

Dripping water by a carafe was the most utilized method of adding water to the absinthe. The correct technique is to continuously drip the iced water as slowly as possible until the sugar has completely dissolved. This also allows the oils within the absinthe to release, slowly perfuming the air.
