Not just a sugar review.... |

So I ordered a brouilleur, a box of absinthe candy, and 100 sugar packets.... I knew they were in the process of changing warehouses, and it took WAY long (3 weeks I think) for my order to arrive. When it did, there were only 40 sugars in it, not the hundred I'd ordered. But La Maison sent me, in the next week, not one but TWO packages with 100 sugars each! I'm set for awhile, lol. Great service, and on the odd occasion there are difficulties, they will certainly "do you right".
That said, this sugar is a must. Each pack holds 2 cubes, each about a "half-cube" by U.S. standards. Definitely better than anything you'll find at the grocery store; more compact, artisan-style sugar. They melt beautifully, and you have more control over how much sweetness you're going to add. The packets in my sugar bowl also add to the whole 'ritual' effect when introducing my friends to the Green Fairy. Really awesome.
