Description
 
This is an original buvard (ink blotter) from the Edouard Pernod distillery. Buvards were used as absorbent papers used to blot ink from a fountain pen. The paper was usually a thicker paper and soaked up the excess ink left on parchment after writing with a fountain pen. Great piece for framing.
